Limited to 2,500 signed and numbered copies, the set consisted of three hardcover volumes in a slipcase. The collection featured an introduction by George Lucas, Archie Goodwin, Al Williamson and Russ Cochran. Vol. 3 collects "Doom Mission, Race For Survival, The Paradise Detour, A New Beginning, Showdown" and "The Final Trap" storylines, originally published Jan. 24, 1983 to March 11, 1984. Offered here is the color guide for the cover to Vol. 3. Al Williamson art shows Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia and others facing off against large alien worm creature. 13x16.5" acetate sheet has attached glossy bw stat, acetate having been hand-colored (the published cover having more muted, organic colors, eschewing the brighter colors seen on color guide; the worm being a totally different color altogether). The "Star Wars" title placement also changed for publication. Exc.
