Art depicts Uncle Willie and Mamie from The Moon Mullins subset, w/hand-lettered names below art and "Copr. 1946 Famous Artists Syn." hand-lettered text along top. Art remains clean and Exc. The pair of displays also includes separate 3x3.5" dia. sheet of onionskin paper w/pink/fleshtone colors which, when placed over the bw art, provides the colors for the finished button. Corners of the sheet is mounted w/small pieces of double-sided tape to acetate sheet that can be removed and placed over art. One small corner off of Mamie sheet. Paper has a few thin ripple lines, but this does not detract visually. Pair includes examples of the pin. Uncle Willie in custom case for display. Lot also includes thirteen 8x10.5" average vellum sheets featuring preliminary prototype design sketches of the two in graphite pencil and in color. Quite different than images used. Lt. aging/wear.
