Art is by Eisner Award-winning artist Dave Dorman (who has signed at bottom left), who worked as a freelance artist on Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Batman as well as fantasy book covers. Dorman painted presentation art on the G.I. Joe brand from the mid-1980s into the early 1990s. This Hasbro 1989 presentation art was used in a figure's creation as part of a presentation to Hasbro executives where the action figure would receive final approval for development. In some cases, Hasbro would outsource the presentation art to a non-Hasbro artist such as Dorman. This type of art was mostly used to promote the line w/buyers. Taped on the back is part of a typed Larry Hama character dossier. Some minor blunting to the corners and some minor stains to the edge which do not impact the art. VF/Exc. Chris Murray Collection.
