Puppet Jim and Puppet Holly

During the Broadsword Comics 26th Anniversary Whatnot stream, Holly Golightly and Jim Balent were joined their puppet counterparts. The debut of these two felted friends was commemorated in this great sketch done by Holly. This was the big giveaway for the stream, and it was won by my friend Chris, who has been one of my closest friends since middle school. That weekend was my birthday, and he surprised me by offering this to me.

Chris and I have been fans of Jim's work since his Catwoman run, and followed him when he founded Broadsword, where we discovered Holly's work. We had spent many an hour in line for sketches from both of them over the years at the Pittsburgh Comicon. If you have ever had the pleasure to meet them, you know how friendly they are, and how much they appreciate their fans. Additionally, I've interviewed them a few times during my journalistic tenure, and I own the majority of Jim and Holly's books, so I am veey happy to add this unique, celebratory piece to my collection.
