AvX: VS #4 (2012) Page 3: Psylocke (Betsy Braddock), Daredevil (Matt Murdock)

Psylocke (Betsy Braddock) and Daredevil (Matt Murdock) circle each other and prepare to do battle on the rooftops of Hell's Kitchen. Uncertain of her ability to defeat him in hand-to-hand combat, Betsy attempts to use her telepathy to put Matt to sleep. When she reaches into his mind, however, she is unprepared for the sensory onslaught of experiencing his hyper-senses for the first time. Matt attempts to take advantage of her momentary disorientation, but Betsy is able to recover enough to dodge his attack.

AvX is not my favorite storyline overall, but this particular matchup felt like a nice fit, and frankly overdue. The duel itself is well written and added depth to the larger story, and the fight is visually striking and well-choreographed. I particularly appreciated the art after seeing it with inks in black and white, rather than the published color version. So I was very pleased to land this page, which had several full shots of both characters, as well as some dynamic action poses.
