Description

The Walking Dead is a series about severe trauma and what people will go through to survive.  In issue 28, famously the Governor took off Rick Grime's predominant hand showing that no character had plot armor and anything can happen.  In only issue 28, Being able to fight and shoot well was very important to Rick's early survival. With Rick's permanent disfigurement, non of these helpful skills would be available for Rick Grimes.  Rick would have to rely on others to help him physically survive.  This moment is one of the most defining parts of the entire Walking Dead Comic.

A great key moment in the book!  So much of this early arc shaped how the rest of the series would continue with shocks and an atmosphere of fear that would rule over their every day lives.

This one ended up in the right place. Hell of a memorable defining scene for Rick Grimes!
