Description

A page featuring the Victoria Montessi and Sam Buchanan of the Darkhold Redeemers. Anyone remember them from the Midnight Sons line that tied in with Ghost Rider? I really like the Lovecraftian vibe to this page. The inks/finishes by Rey Garcia are fantastic, giving the scenes here a moody, oppressive feel. And the background images in the middle panel have that unsettling "cosmic horror" atmosphere that permeated the writings of H.P. Lovecraft.

Garcia is a later-day Filipino artist who did some wonderful work in the 1990s before leaving the comics biz for graphic design. I was fortunate enough to meet him and obtain a couple of pages he worked on.
