A corrupt Indian agent kills his wife when she discovers that he has been cheating the Indians on his reservation. Baker was a bully and a boor - a man who despised the ancient beliefs of the Indians he was supposed to help. And his most rabid contempt was reserved for the rite of The Dancing Dead.
