It's cool how he cut it off as a bust, but the claws are part of the drawing to extend down. I've seen several BWS Weapon X pin ups that have been done the same way and they all get great responses.

Personally, it instantly reminds me of that killer BWS piece from "A Wolverine Gallery" featured in the back of Wolverine Vol. 2 #4 back in 1988.
