Love the inset closeup panel and a nice nod to the Duke!
An excellent war page full ofaction!
Love the way Rock waves his Thompson at a fighter, and it explodes! Lower left panel feels a bit like Kubert - fun page!
The war action and imagery are fantastic but those extreme close ups of Sgt. Rock really make the page shine for my eyes!

Having served in WWII, Evans knew these planes as an aircraft mechanic. He knew how to fly too and made drawing planes a big part of what he was known for. This has that influence as well as his EC time period where he learned how to frame the drama and action together.
Wherever George Evans goes, there must be planes!
