This is not original pencil and ink art. It is the layered printer's proof produced on sheets of acetate like an animation cel with the artwork and lettering on separate sheets. There are usually one to three of each proof produced, and most were destroyed, with only the final, approved ones surviving. An interesting collectible that is part of the process of producing the Marvel Archive Editions of Thor. This is a classic cover originally illustrated by Jack Kirby with finishes by Marie Severin and inks by Vince Colletta. The original pen and ink art would have to be valued above $500K, making this a very affordable alternative.
