Description

The next page as the story progresses towards its end.

In the first panel, we get a great example of facial expressions matching the dialogues I find in that you can visually tell he is delighted despite all the scars on his face and she seems both relieved and exhausted.

The second panel may be my fav’ as we get to see the mother sprintcat watching both characters parting ways. From her growl, you can tell she senses something is amiss with one of them or their relationship. The way the cat and the tree are lit in the foreground is so great because it looks so natural.

Then the two policemen following notice the split and have to make a choice. Again, the scene feels super natural and grounded due to the use of backgrounds and depth.

Oblivious to them who want to be oblivious to him, our guy is perfectly aware he is being tailed. That splashy close up is just fantastic as he really looks dangerous and nefarious here with all the shadows used by Spiegle.

The fact that the huge close up overlaps with the last panel, boxing the two officers within it as they have lost his trail is super clever. And then you get to notice him up above them, all pleased and hidden in shadows.

To sum it up, another great page with superb use of black & white.

Congratulations on a really nice page and here's hoping you are able to obtain the missing two pages to complete the issue!

Neat romance page!  Even with them being tailed, his feline instincts take over!

Excellent page! Might be my top from the issue - agree with you on panel 2, the lighting is superb! And the close up image overlapping two panels is really effective in the storytelling of outwit/outsmart the coppers!

The 2nd panel is exquisite! But what interests me more than anything artistic is Felicity's use of "X'Hal". What connection does a talking feline have to Starfire and her fellow Tamaranians?

It's probably just a common/popular expression to use in that sector of the universe ;)

But it's not just an expression. I believe X'Hal is the Godess the Tamaraneans pray to. They live on a completely different planet than this feline Felicity. If people on OUR planet all seem to pray to different Gods, what are the odds that the people of Felicity's planet would believe in the exact same Godess as the people on another entirely different planet?

EDIT: Okay, a bit of research has revealed that X'Hal is the Tamaranean Godess on Prime Earth. But the introduction ofthat crappy New 52 reboot supposedly changed things. So one of them is Tamaranean and the other is Okaaran, whatever the hell that is. Way more than I want to know or care about.

Another great Spiegle Omega Men offering!  The standout is the second panel here (great POV and lighting, with a real "which cats watch the cat people?" vibe :) ), but I do love how the character is popped out of panel 4 and spans both panels 4 & 5 - you don't see that often!  Sweet add, F M - congrats!

Can't forget to comment on a Spiegle page! Is the end near for these Omega Men pages? I hope not.
