An artist on my favourites list, so nice to get these very personal artworks by him.

Notes: This is a very special drawing [that comes from a family source], clearly to a close family member. In amongst all the presents carried there is one for Christine and one marked Tea. It looks the same family members as the other card.

Henry Justice Ford (1860–1941) was a prolific English artist and illustrator, active from 1886 through to the late 1920s. He came to public attention when he provided the illustrations for Andrew Lang's Fairy Books, sold worldwide in the 1880s and 1890s. His precise illustrations were influenced by the work of Walter Crane and the Pre-Raphaelites, especially the ethereal figures and idealised classical and mediaeval settings of Edward Burne-Jones.
