genial
Very cool as Boris reimagines the western onto his fantasy style making the old west a mystical land.
I had a feeling this was coming home with you.
I'd been watching this one for awhile and you can't really go wrong with a 70's Boris, plus it does have a girl in it. Google acknowledges that Boris only painted two western covers. This one and "The Bandit of Hell’s Bend". He did the cover for a book titled "The Girl from Hollywood" which looked like a western also. I couldn't find any ownership history on either of those, so that leaves this painting quite rare. I'm surprised it wasn't gobbled up sooner. I'll happily own it.
His lighting effect and skin tones are always top of the class.
Boris has done a total of four western paintings. Apart from the three Burroughs covers mentioned above, he also painted one for the novel 'Apache Wells' by Robert Steelman.
Thanks, my search results did not reveal that one. I see it wasn't an ERB book, but was orginally a stand alone painting. Is it in someone's collection?
An excellent painting by Boris. Congratulations!
Incredible pick up. I was very, very tempted. I LOVE WESTERN themes. It is a fantastic composition. Congratulations my friend!!
I love it, Im not a fan of Western covers but when Boris does it I am. Awesome cover.
