Description

Comic art live for the win! Paul Smith X-men related art is never easy... pages from this particular mini series that he both penciled and inked rarely show up. A great example like this splashy battle page featuring Kitty Lockheed and an impressive Silver Samurai image even tougher! I LOVE Paul Smiths art.. his smooth lines and incredible storytelling are all on display here. But oddly what u like most about this page - three big action panels with simple backgrounds.. but those backgrounds mostly various speed lines tell thier own story and bring the action to life! Thank you so much MM!

Swashbuckling Kitty is a callback to UXM 153 and the Silver Samurai is a callback to the time of Kitty Pryde and Wolverine Mini series when they went to Japan. Done in a clean Paul Smith style that is like manga storytelling.

Gorgeous page! I love that top panel the most, but Paul Smith delivered in all 3 panels, with a great image of Silver Samurai in the middle panel plus Lockheed in that bottom panel just brings it over the top! Fantastic pickup!!
