Vaughn Bode and Jeffrey Jones were friends and colaborators from the late 60's until Bode's untimely passing in 1975. This sketch of a typically odd spaceman is on the back of the flyer for the art exhibition put on by Bode, Larry Todd and Jones at the 1969 St. Louis WorldCon.
