Description

Skottie Young's OZ series is memorable for me for so many reasons. I love the Wizard of Oz movie and when I found out Skottie Young was drawing this new series for Marvel I was excited. But seeing his designs for the characters and his art on the books really made me really appreciate his work more, even though I had been fan already. The other thing that made this series special was reading and sharing it with my daughter when she was a child. It's quality time that meant the world to us. I had been looking for a original page for a while from this series. They don't pop up to often and when this one became available, I had to own it. It's a great page showing Jack Pumpkinhead, Scarecrow, Glinda, & Tin Woodman. I especially love that bottom panel with Glinda.

He's got a very twisted Tim Burton sense and feel for the classics and undisneyfying them to their origins!

Love the expression in the last panel. Very sharp, jagged lines.
