E strikes again! This time with fire!

I don't know why I picked Robbie Reyez for this particular image as I knew I wanted an Akira Homage in this legendary format. Maybe it was his so-so Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D appearnces. Maybe it was the botched Marvel Legends haslab car which I paid for yet never got due to underfunding from fans. Or maybe it was impulse. The image is a well beloved one harnessed constantly and will always be. 

I grew up on Johnny Blaze as the Ghost Rider but only in brief glimpses and usually safe ones before I discovered the Midnight Sons and other darker tales. The fact that he was an agent of the devil and chose a different road was a cool plot point at the time. Like Spawn, he went to hell, made a bad deal with the devil and used his powers against his masters. While the Fox movies were more miss than hits for me, they left room for a new and odd way to look upon the character. 

Enter Robero Reyez! 

"Marvel Now" wasn't my thing then so it would be years before I gave him a shot and here we are. Eranga placed this on his orders but gained heavy momentum with his identity and Nouveau commissions until one evening he decided no more waiting and over nighted Robbie here to life. He chose to reverse the Akira poster to better see Robbie's signature features which was a genius choice.

This Ghost proudly haunts my wall and will for quite some time.
