As you may know by now, I sure do love me some Dan Spiegle art, so this page slid right into my bundle plan with Anthony.

And really, Jonah Hex with a Winchester is hard to beat.

There is a slight continuity issue on the page, though. Hex makes a reference to Uncle Remus, who didn’t really enter the popular lexicon until after 1875. That matters because Hex was transported to the year 2050 from 1875, so unless this story takes place after his trip to the future and eventual return to the past, he probably shouldn’t have known the reference.

Of course, DC never really showed us exactly when—or how—Hex made it back. We just know he eventually did, since he died back in the Old West in 1904.

So maybe it’s a mistake. Maybe it’s a clue. Or maybe Jonah Hex is just too mean to let continuity tell him what he can and can’t say.  

I wouldn't question him.
