About Franco de Rosa:

Comic book creator and editor Franco de Rosa was born in 1956 in São Paulo, Brazil. While still in school, he worked on the student newspaper, contributing illustrations and handling its graphic design. At just 15 years old, he co-created the fanzine FRAMA with a friend, marking the beginning of his career in comics publishing. After publishing work in newspapers such as Notícias Populares and Folha da Tarde, Franco de Rosa went on to write, edit, and publish comics for numerous Brazilian publishers, including Best News, Saber, Nova Sampa, Grafipar, EBAL, Maciota (later renamed Press), Escala, Criativo, Kalaco, and Ediouro. He was also one of the founders of the influential publishing houses Opera Graphica and Mythos. Franco de Rosa was also a founding member of the São Paulo Association of Comic Book Artists and Cartoonists (AQC-ESP), alongside Gualberto Costa, Jal, and Worney Almeida de Souza. In 2010, he received the Angelo Agostini Award in the "Master of Brazilian Comics" category, one of the highest honors in the Brazilian comics industry.
