Description

I really enjoyed Dale Keown's Hulk comic work and his version of the character set new standards for me. His aptitude for drawing HUGE muscle bound characters with dramatic underlighting really shined on the book. =) This piece is the corner box cover art published on about a dozen issues early in Keown's run on the Hulk. I'm very lucky to have gotten this piece of history direct from Dale. The original is big and is done on standard 11x17 board. As is usual for corner box art that gets reduced in size many times over, the original art has heavy linework and deeper shadows, but in this case, Keown's inks don't look heavy handed at all as the blacks make the Hulk figure seem more imposing and powerful.
