Grant wasn't scheduled to be signing or anything, but just took a seat in the DC booth on Sunday.
And since no one knew he was gonna be there, there were only a handful of fans in line. Yay!
A few people only had one comic to get signed too, so I let them go ahead of me, hoping to get a sketch from him.
Did you know his first comic work was as an artist?
I'd read his whole "Doom Patrol" run in one sitting and enjoyed the hell out of it, which I told him as he was sketching away.
He said he wanted comics to be more imaginative and daring again, instead of being so down-to-earth all the time too.
