Description
This is the actual, printed page for The Robber Kitten Cartoon, which has been cut out of an April 1935 issue of Good Housekeeping magazine.

I do not know if two artists worked on the drawings for this page or if Tom Wood, who was certainly one of the artists, simply changed the design of the Robber Kitten's hat. The two images of the character which surround the title of the cartoon have hats which come out to a single point, as is true with the hat in all drawings for the book and all the actual animation art for the cartoon. In the four panels showing scenes from the cartoon, however, the main character's hat is different, i.e., a portion scoops in, leaving two pointed areas around that scoop. It is likely that all the drawins are by Wood and that the four drawings used for this page were the first publicity drawings done in connection with the cartoon. THe original character designs by Albert Hurter and the finished model sheet drawings all have the title character wearing the scooped out hat. Apparently Wood or some other artist who later worked in the production of the cartoon decided to make a change in the hat's design.
