Description

This is the splash page from the Supergirl story -The Heroine Haters!- that appeared in Adventure Comics 384 (September 1969). The story was written by Cary Bates with art by Win Mortimer (Pencils) and Jack Abel (Inks). To me this is a classic 60's story combining the super-hero, science fiction and romance comics. Supergirl goes to a planet of super-men that don't appreciate super-women. The splash is a great shot of Supergirl catching two air vehicles while talking to the boyfriend she met on the planet.

Win Mortimer is an under appreciated artist. He did a great portrayal of Supergirl and this is an excellent example.

Win Mortimer was certainly under appreciated. He did some great work on Supergirl such as this lovely splash. Love your overall collection
