Description

WOLVERINE DRAWINGS BY JOHN ROMITA, 1974. BLUE PENCIL ON THIN VELUM. SIGNED AND NOTED BY ROMITA. THE BACK SIDE OF SHEET #2. Yes, this is the FIRST drawing(s) ever of Wolverine (Also see the accompanied drawings). After creating the images with blue pencil on the front of the velum sheet, Romita traced the Wolverine figure on the back side, making a third Wolverine drawing. The detail on the original "Front Side" was a bit rough, as Romita was fleshing out the idea. Upon turning the page over, he traced a clean line copy (in reverse) with the same blue pencil. The image is much clearer.

Wow.....I mean..Wow. I remember these being printed in a Marvel history book years ago. I was amazed how corny he looked LOL. This is an incredible piece of comic history. Congrats!
