Wow, one could almost get vertigo looking at the swirls around the oncoming headlights. He works his pencil like a painter uses a brush. Colan's commissions never disappoint.

Yeah, it is fantastic. Another great example of the use of black and white that a master like Colan uses to great effect.

I love this piece. Gene is great with pencil strokes, even in colored, inked comics, you feel like you can see every stroke.

If Bob Kane hadn't invented the Batman, Gene Colan would have had to do it! Colan is the god of comic book shadows!
