There are certain comic strips that are timeless artistically. A few touch on current issues. Some have a philosophical bent and others offer craziness and one-liners. Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes had all these things and more, but above all, it was pure genius.

Nine months and 203 views? Huh? Dude, this is incredible. Reminds me why I miss C&H so much.

WOW! Of all the art in your collection, it has taken this little gem to really spike my heart rate. I never knew there was any C&H art out there. At all. Wow! Many, many thanks for sharing this!

Can't believe I didn't see this before. I have been told by many people that he wouldn't part with his art and had 100% in his hands. I see now that isn't true. I don't know how you got this but congratulations!!!

This is an impossibility! Seriously. Waterson has mentioned so many times that he's not willing to sell any of these. How did you get this?!?!?!?!?!? You're a lucky bastard. Congrats.

Can't believ my eyes! How could I miss this so far? Wonderful... Watterson never sold any of his originals so there are less than a handful (that he gave as a present!!!) in private hands. I don't know the story of this jem but it's a pleasure to see it. Really congrats and thank you for sharing this beauty!!!

Been a while since this piece garnered any comments, and I have no idea why. One of the best things on all of CAF. A gem!
