Description

       I contacted Louie before San Diego 2007 and asked if he wanted to do a commission depicting a Hayao Miyazaki character for me. I figured out his choice would be Howl's when he wrote it was not already represented in my collection. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see this wonderful group portrait with the wizard Howl, young Sophie, bewitched old Sophie, and the fire demon Calcifer.

       Louie was debuting his new comic Steel Noodles this year. I made sure to get down to Louie's table on Preview Night. Got to chat a bit with Louie and his wife Julie. Unfortunately, I didn't get back at all during the con. Louie posted many pictures from his entire time at the con. I marvel because it's all I can do to keep notes.
