There is a monument at the graveyard near where I grew up that is dedicated to the circus animals that are buried there following a train crash in the 1920s... for some reason, the weird ghosts of elephants, a harlequin, a GIANT rooster, and freaky catfish make me think about how weird it was to stare at that monument when I was a child. I also love that she has a grasshopper and an octopus as her stuffed toys! "While the children are sleeping, the sun hides its head..."
