Description
The splash page to "Devils in Baggy Pants!" from Two-Fisted Tales #20 (EC, Mar-Apr 1951). Craftint panel inserted in the center.
It has been said that Wood was assigned to this story because of his past as a paratrooper.

Initially, I bought the whole story for $400 from Russ Cochran in March 1983 being listed as 'not sold' in a previous auction. Sadly enough, later that year I traded the story to Russ for the second Carl Barks Lithograph "An Embarrassment Of Riches". Bad move.
Almost 25 years later I found the splash on eBay from an English seller and paid $2500 - for the splash alone!

Provenance: eBay 2007

Love the detail, but what's most impressive is the amazing execution!

This is lovely. Your description is so funny. Letting stuff go and paying multiples  later on to get it back. Been there. It hurts.
