Description

page 66 of the 11 X 17 original artwork from Countdown to Infinite Crisis #1 by hot Wonder Woman / Invisbles / Infinite Crisis artist Phil Jimenez. This one shot was the lead into the hit "Infinite Crisis" series from DC Comics, and featured the death of the Blue Beetle. The art is from the last Ted Kord Blue Beetle Story. The Blue Beetle, who had an origin in the 1930s the same as Superman and Batman, was "recreated" by the great Steve Ditko at Charlton Comics in the 1970s, and was also the inspiration for Alan Moore's Nite Owl in the Watchmen series. He survived the bankruptcy of Charlton Comics to cross over to the DC Universe in the original "Crisis on Infinite Earths" in the 1980s, only to be killed by Max Lord for the present Crisis in the new millineum.
