There are a lot of Liefeld bashers out there, but this proves that the man can draw.

I agree with Aric. More importantly, this version of Dove is becoming a major character in the Blackest Night run. It's a long time coming.

Gentlemen, I agree. I talked to JT Krul who wrote the Titans series and he said that he would be doing more with Dove and keep watching. I encouraged him to start a new "Hawk and Dove". Here's hoping.

This may be from Liefeld's best artistic effort ever, which was in that Hawk and Dove miniseries. In his first miniseries Liefeld had not yet developed an exaggerated sense of anatomy that later permeated his work, and Liefeld had not yet develop an obsessive need to place cross hatching on every single part of a character's body (regardless of the probable lighting sources). Further, Liefeld's work was undoubtedly significantly improved by Karl Kesel, one of the great unheralded inkers of his time. Congratulations on a really great find!
