While this iconic painting evokes terrible memories of a haunting time in our history. It also resurrects a time of tremendous pride for New York and how the country came together as one. Over the years I had taken some knocks at being a comic collector and there in the country's most time of need, my comic art heroes were paying homage to other very deserving heroes. The amount of pride I feel for the entire comic art industry today is still immeasurable. Many of the art pieces from the Heroes comic have circulated through the Smithsonian and the Library of Congress. Now one will proudly hang in my very humble abode.

There are very few pages in this somber book that do not feature a comic book character. This is one of them and I believe it properly captures the solemnity of the moment. This is a very important piece for both comic book and American history collectors.

The painting has been in a smoke-free temperature controlled home. The painting is museum mounted with acid free materials and resides behind UV protected glass. The painting has hung on an interior wall and has never been exposed to direct sunlight.
