Description
Sadly, I never had the opportunity to meet Alfredo Alcala, although I was certainly a fan of his work, especially the humor stories in PLOP! I did, however, have the pleasure of meeting his family in San Diego in 2001. His widow is on the left and his son Christian Voltar, named after the character by Alfredo and an artist in his own right, is on the opposite end.
