This is a commission that Nick Cardy did for me as my 50th birthday present to myself. I vaguely remember a Bat Lash image with him hanging on the end of a train with a woman in his arms. Nick took that description and created this image.



I really love looking at it and it's reached the highest pinnacle of art in my house. Kathy allows it to hang in our bedroom. It has also been the image on my computer's desktop for more than a year.

PS. Nick Cardy is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. He called to check up on the artwork and to be sure I liked it. We chatted for a quite awhile. This fanboy was thrilled.



PPS, Carmine Infantino said in his book that Nick and Joe Kubert were the best of the Silver Age. They are certainly two of my favorites as you can see here and here.
