Description

These images were done with Tony Harris for the cover of DC Comics LEGION. Our working process was that both Tony and I would do concept sketches. Often one of the sketches would spark an idea different from either of our original ideas. Once the concept was agreed on a finalized sketch was submitted for editorial approval. Once approved we would both pencil the piece, passing it back and fourth until we both agreed it was finished. We would do the same for inking and coloring, both sharing the work and decisions until we reached agreement it was finished. I know of no other team in comics that worked this way. Tony was well established before he started working with me and it was his desire to put his ego aside and try something new that keep his work as fresh today as when he started in comics nearly 20 years ago. The man has giant balls.
