Right after the Jim Lee signing, I wanted to get a sketch from John Cassaday who was gonna be signing at the ACTOR booth from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. With a small donation, he'd draw either a head sketch or a bust. I remember seeing him in Philly a few years ago when his Captain America first came out and have been hoping to get something nice ever since. When I walked by at 2:30PM, there were already eleven people waiting in line, so I got number twelve out of a possible eighteen tickets. Whew.
Unfortunately, after a long wait and some frustration, he was only doing head sketches by the time I got to him, but it still came out pretty nice. They also had another line just for signatures, which as far as I could tell, they must've forgotten to take donations on. That's also Jim McLauchlin pictured next to him. Although, he now works for Top Cow, he still helps Wizard run their shows. He also helped put ACTOR together, if I remember correctly.
Saturday night, I also ran into David Finch after the show. He wasn't a guest at Wizard, but was still in town anyways. And with The Avengers Disassembled behind him now, he was really looking forward to The New Avengers series with Brian Michael Bendis. Or B!, as he signs his books now. Sentry is one of the new Avengers Finch is really excited about drawing too.
