Description

Caption: "See how the national emergency has changed Horace! Instead of just a nice, plain man selling washing machines, he's become important, mysterious, and flies to Washington every week!"

The drawing in this panel is wonderful, from the calligraphic stylization of the tricycle to the embossing of the lines between the bricks. Clark was a master of brush and anatomy.
