The portrait panel is extremely nice. Hard to believe that this was at age 14!

Stunning work at any age...but you know it's a classic example of a young artist trying to repeat the sense of intensity they get from their favorite artists...by throwing in the kitchen sink...if you look at a Buscema page for example...the beauty is how "smart" he works to create the 'fullness" without killing himself.

There are a million things wrong with this page, Mike, including the fact that the background settings in panels 1 & 2 don't match AT ALL! LOL

Nobody notices things like this when a scantily clad lady it taking all their attention, and of course you could explain it away in the Marvel manner by saying its a magical background.
