Gorgeous! Thanks to both Mr. Shapiro and Mr. Nowlan for showing us the work in progress. I love the gargoyle and face of stone... Batman isn't too shabby either! Kevin Nowlan is one talented artist and I think he deserves one of those wonderful Flesk or Vanguard books on his art... after all, TwoMorrows already did a Modern Masters of Mr. Nowlan. Great piece!!

Breathtaking in its clean linework and confident execution! Kevin Nowlan has such a strong vision and doesn't waste space with ancillary distractions. Beautiful piece, Ari.

Sweet! I always love seeing the roughs and pencils, building the anticipation to when the final piece is "unveiled".

I guess I'm a bit late to the Congratulations Party here, but nevertheless, congratulations! This is a stunning piece, by one of the true greats, and truly nice people in the business. Thanks very much for posting all the process pieces as well. I love seeing how it all comes together.

Wow, that's a beauty! I love how Kevin does the solid blacks and stark whites on stone, and the lovely line detail. Too cool.
