Description

This is a terrible photo of a great double page splash by John Cassaday. John does a terrific Cap drawing in all the links of his chain mail and giving Cap a great sense of action with just the right hard edge and skill at story telling that was missing from the book for a while.

To me this art is the core of Cap: a super soldier created to fight in WWII. To give hope to the troops and present the ideal that good will triumph over such horrible evil like that perpetrated by the Nazis. In this piece, Cap represents every real life soldier that liberated the concentration camp survivors.

This is Cap as he should be.
