On this page, Sun Boy announces his plan to leave the Legion to lead and reform their foes on the Terror Firma team. Compare the ink art to the published page, and you'll see the delicate waltz that pencil/ink pages dance with modern digital colorists, who add facial features like cheek structure which are not present in the line art. It's effective if done well but can completely subvert the original art if overcooked. Some of the earlier pages in this book had too much digital shading for my tastes, but this page came out well.

Panel four is a rare profile shot. These are easier to do; a slightly turned face is more difficult, because the two sides of the face are both visible at different distances from the viewer and thus cannot be drawn symmetrically. Reading back through Bronze Age LSH, I was struck how often Keith Giffen used profile shots or forward facing symmetrical shots, whereas Kitson is much more sparing with them, choosing the more difficult shot most of the time.
