Pacific Northwest Comic Con 5 - July 1993

I knew Mike's work, but when he did this sketch for me, I had no idea who it was. He said it was a character that he had created and would be coming out that month. You may have heard of Hellboy. This is a pretty special sketch to me.

The promoters of this event handed out ash can sketch books to get signatures and sketches from the attending writer and artists.

I wish I would have known better at the tender age of 15 that I really could have got some cool sketches from some great artists. Ugh. But I did get some cool stuff anyway.

Hindsight is always 20/20, be glad you got what you got! Very cool piece, as you say, because of the timing! And Hellboy looks so young there...
