Art Adams ..Creature color guide #1 .sold

Here is a "hand colored with watercolors" color guide for a page of Art Adams amazing Creature from the Black Lagoon comic from about 15 years ago.
It was colored by the colorist of the book Matt
Hollisworth and it is also signed by him.

It is 9" by 11" and is one of a kind color art by the colorist of the comic.
What a color guide is.. Before the event of comic colorists doing all thier color on computer these days this was the process used.
The original art was copied and reduced to comic book size and then was sent to the colorist of the comic to be colored.
They were painted with watercolors and then sent back to be used as the guide for the color seperators.
The seperators matched the colors on the guide and the comic was sent out for print.

The colorist is credited on the front page of the comic. Color guides are quite rare to find these days and make a great color display of comic art.
