As I've mentioned in a previous description, Al Severin is an incredible artist, topped only by the fact that he is an even more incredible human being. This wonderful watercolor, painted in 2002 and published in 2004, arrived in the mail today. From Al's
Harry series, the piece is executed in delicate pencil and watercolor. The watercolor is a terrific example of his artistry.
As an aside, the blue in the sky is a deeper turquoise color in the color. My scanner could not pick up the turquoise, and when I tried to adjust it in Photoshop, it made the skin tones too gray. So you'll have to use your imagination. The piece is much more vibrant in person.
