Master indeed! This page doesn't need the Spirit. It's simply amazing from the first panel to the last.

I was at a friend's house and saw another page to this story. I didn't realize how huge this art is, even for Eisner Spirit stories. It's like they were celebrating rationing being over. Gorgeous in person, too.

The more eisner I see, the more I think it doesn't really matter if the spirit is in it or not......in fact many of the best and most sophicated pages don't! Great page, thanks for sharing.
