DescriptionSo heres Michael Bair and me BSin at the Supercon about Conan, and were talking about how with all the battles that Conan has been in, what would life have dealt him in his golden years! Well, As soon as we hit on that, I remembered about Steves parody pieces and told michael that I know just the person to play with that, which put a smile on Michaels face too! So off I go over to Steve's table and tell him the Idea and Steve starts laughing and wanted to start it Immediatly. Alittle while later while talking to Joe Jusko, Steve strolls by and tells me its ready with a big grin on his face! Needless to say when I went to pick this up, we all had a big grin on our faces! Can't recommend Steve enough! Fast and friendly and hits exactly what you want! Thanks again Steve!Social/Sharing |

I was sitting with Steve while he was working on this and he was pretty excited about it. A really fun idea and a fun piece! Nice meeting you at the show Ken!

Fine... be that way...acquire yet another DEAD ON convention sketch while the rest of us toil in the woods in obscurity, happy just to have running water.. and not a single SWEET Steve Mannion sketch adorning our walls. What the hell Ken? Next time, try setting the bar a little lower will ya. Like... here's a sketch I got from a bum who drew it with blood from his finger...

Seriously though, I'm firmly convinced that Mannion is like... an untapped resource, like wind energy, the next Frazetta, but stylistically his own fellow, just waiting, waiting, patiently and dilligently for that big break. At which point, all of us who knew for years will smile and go "BLING BABY!" Except, well... for me, who currently has not ONE color piece by this master. You could have thrown me a little bone maybe, like, hey Kev, going to the Con this weekend, can I score you a sweet Mannion piece? Instad, no. No emails, no phone calls. And after I gave you my last kidney. What the hell man!!

Hahaha, you're such a name dropper! I would be too! Great piece, I'm jealous and hope you all had fun down there.
