DescriptionThis is another of the pieces I did while I was a student at the High School of Art & Design in NYC. The time can be discerned by the graffiti like signature I used in HS (as well as the over rendered background and several obvious swipes. A friend of mine recently found this and returned it to me.Social/Sharing |

Holy %&^(*&$#_(& you drew this at 14? I could still barely write my name at 14 =) Very Nice is an understatement!

Hi
The Kirby influences are clear in this one.
But every discovery from your early years amazes me.

Great Kirby/Wood/Steranko stuff going on in this one.

Your destiny was clear at a very early age! Space Vixens looks like a really fun piece and congrats on getting back apart of your road to success.

To be honest, I was probably 16 or 17 at this point. Oddly enough, I'm not sure I could do this today, as I've worked in color for so long I think I've lost my eye for a straight B&W comic line. lol

I like that all your "tech" was swiped from John Buscema...who was channeling Jack Kirby_hardware...( strange how art functions )...nice work on the Chixx !!!

At least I had an eye for who to swipe from at that early age, Mike!! LOL I STILL hate drawing "tech" today!

Nice. I count at least 5 different horizon lines. Joe, I expected better of a sixteen year old. haha
