Description

This is the original art an advertisment for the 1979 Minneapolis Comic Convention. The main guest was animation icon Bob Clampett, other guests included Reed Waller, Rich Larson, Steve Fastner, Bill Fugate & others.
The art itself features both MARVEL & DC heroes, Batman, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, Superman, Spider-Woman & Wonder Woman. Also featured is Bob Clampett's "Beany & Cecil". Now a big thanks to Joel Thingvall in relation to providing some of the history of this particular piece: “Both Fred and I worked for The Buyer's Guide at the time and Fred owed me a favour or something, so he did up an ad for the show using the copy from the other photo that ran in TBG. Light owed me some ad space. So what you have is the art for the full-page TBG ad for the show that year. It appeared on page 28 in one of the issues (probably) end of August 1979”.
