Tom Beland was the Cartoon Art Museum's artist in residence on June 7, 2008. He offered to do sketches for a donation to Josh Medors fight against cancer. We had a nice chat and I was thrilled to hear we shared many cartoon loves: Preston Blair, the Flintstones, Jonny Quest, and My Neighbor Totoro. The drawing is of Tom and his wife Lily. Tom's comic True Story Swear to God is the tale of their meeting and romance.
